Adele joined Trethowans in 1999 as a Legal Secretary in the personal injury team. In January 2007 she become a Legal Assistant in the team and in June 2009 she obtained a specialist Paralegal Diploma In Personal Injury and joined as a member of The Society of Specialist Paralegals.
Adele predominantly handles road traffic accident claims, ranging from non-fault collision through to fully contested cases. On a daily basis she negotiates with insurers and other solicitors to secure appropriate compensation on behalf of injured clients. Adele also assists other solicitors in the personal injury team in progressing more complex cases.

Examples of how Adele has helped clients include:
- Representing child claimants who act through a litigation friend, normally a parent or guardian, to obtain compensation on their behalf and arranging for the compensation to be paid into the Court Funds Office earning interest until the child reaches 18 years of age when the compensation is then able to paid out to them.

Away from the office Adele enjoys time with her young son and family, walking in the woods, cooking and entertaining, watching Rugby, renovating her home, eating out and socialising with family and friends. Adele has an open house policy to her family and friends and you will usually find somebody just popping in for a quick chat and then staying for dinner, if she is in.
